Our mission at On Form Physio is to help get you to the start of your event in the best shape and fitness possible.

Sports Physiotherapy is designed for athletes of all levels — recreational to competitive, beginner or experienced — who want to work toward their physical best without being held back by pain.

OUR METHODOLOGY

Restore. Rebuild. Retrain.

01

Restore

Restore normal, comfortable movement as efficiently as possible, reducing pain and dysfunction around the injured region.

02

Rebuild

Investigate the “why” — identifying any risk factors behind the pain and dysfunction, and strengthening the neuromuscular connections (balance, coordination, muscle firing patterns) that underpin quality movement.

03

Retrain

Build the physical qualities that support performance in your chosen sport, with close collaboration between our team and your coaches, trainers or managers for a smooth return to sport.

SPORTS PHYSIO VS. GENERAL PHYSIO

What’s actually different?

The classical physiotherapy treatment techniques you’ve experienced before are still part of sports physiotherapy. The difference lies in the physical assessment and the performance benchmarks used to guide your return to participation — testing physical capacities in detail, including:

Strength Endurance Aerobic Fitness Power Balance Agility Technique

BENCHMARKED RETURN TO SPORT

Play well, perform better.

Once your physical capacities have been assessed, they’re compared against what’s required for your chosen sport or activity. If you’re returning from a significant injury and time off, these benchmarks help guide when you’re physically ready to return to playing.

If you’ve sustained a sports injury without an obvious cause, a gap in one of these physical capacities is often part of the picture. Our Sports Physiotherapists draw on assessment and treatment experience across a wide range of sports to help you work toward your best in whatever’s next.
