FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Your questions, answered.

Everything you need to know before your first appointment — or your next one.

No referral is needed for a standard appointment. You can book directly with us at any time. If your GP has referred you under a GP Management Plan (GPMP) or GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP), Medicare may cover a portion of your consultation fees — contact us if you have questions about your specific situation. If you are attending under a workers compensation or motor vehicle insurance (ICWA) claim, please bring your claim paperwork and any referral provided by your employer, insurer, or GP to your first appointment.

Yes. We use Tyro Health for on-the-spot digital claiming with most major health funds. Bring your health fund card to your appointment. Please note that not all health funds are supported by Tyro Health — check with your insurer if you’re unsure whether your fund is compatible. The gap amount (if any) depends on your level of cover.

You can book online at any time via our booking system — just click the Book Now button at the top of any page. If you’d prefer to speak with someone first, contact us via the form on our Contact page or call the clinic directly.

Wear or bring comfortable clothing appropriate to the area being assessed — for lower limb injuries, shorts are ideal; for shoulder or upper body concerns, a singlet or loose-fitting top. Bring any relevant imaging (X-rays, MRI reports), your referral letter if you have one, and your health fund card if you plan to claim on the day. If you are attending under a workers compensation or ICWA claim, bring your claim paperwork to your first appointment.

Initial consultations are typically 45–60 minutes. Follow-up appointments are generally 30 minutes. Specialised assessments such as bike fitting and running gait analysis have their own session lengths — see the relevant service pages for details.

We understand plans change, but because your appointment slot is reserved specifically for you, the following fees apply if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Standard Physiotherapy Appointments

  • 24 hours or more before your appointment — no charge
  • On the day of your appointment — 75% of the scheduled fee
  • Did not attend — 100% of the scheduled fee

These fees can be held as a credit on your file, to be used for another appointment within the following two weeks.

Bike Fitting Appointments

Because bike fitting sessions run longer and are in high demand, all bookings are tentatively held by providing your card details through our Halth booking system, or by paying a 50% deposit to confirm your appointment.

  • 48 hours or more before your appointment — no charge
  • Within 48 hours of your appointment — 50% of the scheduled fee
  • Did not attend — 100% of the scheduled fee

We understand that unforeseen circumstances come up — if something genuinely outside your control affects your ability to attend, let us know and we’ll always use discretion in applying this policy.

Yes. We are an approved WorkSafe WA provider and can also see clients under motor vehicle insurance (ICWA) claims. Before your first appointment, contact us so we can confirm your claim details and make sure everything is in order — this helps avoid any delays with your treatment or reporting.

Yes — sports massage is available at our Rockingham clinic through Athletes Edge, operated by Steph. Steph works from our Rockingham location and books through our shared system. See our Sports Massage page for details and to book.

We have a couple of options if this is you. We offer a mobile service where we come to you — get in touch for more details on this.

If you’re beyond a reasonable travelling distance, we’re also happy to conduct an assessment using telehealth — a virtual way of still providing physiotherapy care. Get in touch with our team for more information on this option.

Yes, we can help. If you have more than one area or complaint you’d like assessed, we recommend booking a Long appointment through our booking system — this appointment type sets aside the extra time your physiotherapist needs to adequately attend to each complaint. If you’re unsure which option to choose, get in touch beforehand and we’ll point you in the right direction.
