Performance Physiotherapy is our small-group exercise rehabilitation program, built for people who want more structure and guidance than a generic rehab sheet provides.

Every session is led by a physiotherapist, with your exercises tailored and progressed individually within a small-group setting — well suited to triathletes, runners, cyclists and other active people working through a structured rehab process.

WHAT IS IT?

Guided exercise rehabilitation, in a small-group setting.

Performance Physiotherapy sessions are guided exercise rehabilitation classes, led by a Sports Physiotherapist in a small-group environment. Each session follows a structured program built on sports physiotherapy principles — strength, mobility, control and progressive loading — with the program adjusted for you within the group.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Performance Physiotherapy may suit you if you’re:

  • Recovering from an injury and want structured progression
  • Working on building resilience to reduce recurring injuries
  • Wanting accountability and guidance with rehab exercises
  • Returning to running, cycling, or sport after time off
  • Building strength under expert supervision
  • Someone who prefers a motivating group environment over 1:1 sessions

WHY PERFORMANCE PHYSIO

What makes the group format work.

  • Individualised exercise progression within every session, not a fixed circuit
  • Physiotherapist supervision and technique coaching at every session
  • A structured loading pathway, planned around the specific demands of your sport and adjusted week to week against your progress
  • Addressing contributing factors behind your injury, not only the immediate symptom
  • Physiotherapist-supervised care at a lower per-session cost than ongoing 1:1 rehab

HOW IT WORKS

From first consultation to returning to sport.

STEP ONE

Performance Physiotherapy Initial Consultation

Before joining a group block, you'll complete a one-on-one initial consultation. Your physiotherapist assesses your injury history, movement and training goals, and runs objective testing to benchmark where you're starting from — strength, mobility and movement quality measures relevant to your sport. This baseline is what your progress gets tracked against later in the program.

This isn't a formality before the "real" sessions start — it's what makes the group program genuinely individualised rather than a generic circuit everyone follows the same way.

  • Bookable directly through the website as its own appointment type
  • Required before joining your first group block

STEP TWO

Your Individual Plan

Using everything from your initial consultation — your injury history, goals, and benchmark results — your physiotherapist builds a program specific to you, not a generic template everyone in the room follows the same way.

You'll work through this individual plan within the small-group setting, so you get the structure and accountability of a class, with a program that's actually built around your situation.

  • Built directly from your initial consultation results
  • Delivered within the small-group format, not 1:1
STEP THREE

Group Sessions — Booked in Blocks

Group sessions are booked in blocks of 6–8 weeks at a time, rather than one session at a time. Your physiotherapist coaches your technique and progresses your program week to week — re-testing against your benchmarks at key points, so progress is tracked objectively, not just by how a session felt.

  • Each block runs 6–8 weeks
  • Physiotherapist-supervised at every session
  • Re-tested against your initial benchmarks to track progress

STEP FOUR

Return to Sport & Performance

By the end of the block, the aim is a structured transition back into your sport, training, and competition — whatever that means for you. For some, that's simply getting back to playing the sport you love without it flaring up again. For others, it's working back toward their performance goals.

The program is built to support both: a safe, structured return to sport, and a clear pathway back to performing at your best.
