Are you and injured and frustrated runner?
Stop letting pain take the fun out of your run
Running is the third-most popular type of physical activity in Australia (behind walking and gym training), enjoyed by people of all ages and fitness levels, but it comes with unique demands on the body that require specialised care from expertly trained clinicians.
From the repetitive impact on joints to the precise mechanics of gait, running presents a variety of challenges that can lead to injury if not addressed correctly. Successfully treating running-related injuries—and preventing their recurrence—requires a health professional with a deep understanding of biomechanics, training loads, and individualised rehabilitation strategies.
Our specialised approach ensures that every runner not only recover effectively but also returns to the sport stronger and more resilient. We work with runners of all abilities - from those looking to start their journey and improve their fitness, to those tackling bigger events like Ironman triathlons or ultra-marathons.

How our approach to fixing running injuries is different:
An initial running consultation at On Form Physio covers the following:
We firstly undertake a comprehensive interview process to understand your previous current training and week mileage, your injury history, what event/s your aiming for (as applicable), and get an idea of your expectations and your understanding of what is going on in your body
Next, your whole body is assessed to identify any areas of limitation which may be impacting on running ability and performance. This includes looking imbalances in:
Range of motion and flexibility
Strength
Motor control and coordination
Joint and ligament testing
Next, a dynamic gait analysis using multi-view, slow motion video technology is done to evaluate your running technique, and see how this may be contributing to your injury
Finally, we will give you a through explanation of your diagnosis, how we can get you back running straight away, and put together a treatment plan to remedy the underlying cause of your injury
We can also communicate directly with your coach to work collaboratively in balancing your upcoming training. We want to keep your fitness improving whilst your injury is being treated
